Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Kindergarten News                                                               March 17, 2014
What we will do this week:
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Our class bought the most books from at the book fair! We will have an ice-cream treat this afternoon as a thank you! We enjoyed reading and sharing our new classroom books.
Don’t forget to send in your gently used books to participate in our upcoming book swap!
This week we will add the letter Vv.  Look for the book “I did it” to come home this week.  We will listen for the /d/ sound in words; we will practice counting syllables and name words with the /d/ sound.  We will also identify the final sounds we hear in words.
In math we will identify a cylinder and order objects by height.  We will identify, create and extend an ABC pattern.  We will pay for items up to .50 using nickels, and we will use crackers to divide by sharing.
We will learn about the woman who anoints Jesus feet this week.
Homework- page in green folder- due next Monday. Write words 3x each.
Words on the back of news!
We have rescheduled our field trip to the Macomb Center to watch a play.  It will be May 12th in the afternoon.  Several parents paid already- if you cannot go with us in May, please let me know and I will refund your money.
Check out spelling city.com for games using spelling words.  Search for my lists using my name: Beth Chaiser
